WHAT:        Tryouts for the Livonia Storm Girls Fastpitch Softball teams

WHERE:      Bicentennial Park Diamond #9 & 10 (On 7 mile West of Farmington Road)

WHEN:             August 27, 28

10U - 12UTryouts:   10:00 am - 12:00pm Registration starts at (9:00am)

14U - 18U Tryouts:      2:00 pm - 4:00pm Registration starts at (1:00pm)

August 30,

All Ages 6:00-8:00PM (Registration @ 5:30PM)

 

All Only Need to attend one of these dates, unless one of the coaches ask you to come back.

*Age is equal to your age as of December 31st 2011. (example: If you are a 12U player and your birth date is April 11, You will turn 13 on this date) you still are an 12U Player.) Because you are 12 at the time of December 31st, 2011.

NO one will be accepted to play up an age level. if you are a 12U player and want to play in the 14U age group, you will not be able to do this. You must play at your age group as of this date above ! NO Exceptions!

BRING:     Equipment (glove, bat, batting gloves, sliding shorts/pad, visor, cleats, etc.)

• Water Bottle
• Player Registration form (download Word or Acrobat Reader
  • Fill out completely and bring this form with you.
• Photocopy of Birth certificate

CRITERIA:   Players will be evaluated on their skills in the following areas:  fielding, throwing, hitting, bunting, base running, knowledge of the game, communication, attitude, desire to play, and overall athleticism.  Pitchers and catchers will be evaluated on an individual basis.

OVERVIEW:  The purpose of the Livonia Storm Girls Fastpitch Softball Association is to help players develop the skills required to play competitive fastpitch softball. Some teams will play 25 to 50 games (varies by age) from May through July.  Some teams will play weekend tournaments that may require travel.  Indoor practices begin at coaches’ discretion in January.  Outdoor practices begin as soon as weather permits.

COST: $325.00 per player (some fundraising also required) To be paid once you commit to a team.

DIVISION OFFERED: Livonia Storm will offer 3 different levels of travel girls Fastpitch Softball at each age level.

1. Premier Team/"A Team" - This team will play in the top tournaments and or Division 1 in league play. Will practice year round, play in Indoor tournaments. Possible World Series travel to Florida or out of state. This is the highest level of play.
2. "B" Team - Will play in League Play and or Tournaments only. Will choose 4-5 tournaments in spring and summer.
3. "C" Team - Will play in Lower division of League Play and Some Tournaments.

Non - Livonia Residents are Welcomed.
